This free app attempts to contain all the same functionality as my full version NikonCams app -- offline specs / offline comparison, online pricing info (Amazon.com), photo example look-up (Pbase.com), manufacture info via Nikon.com and review info via DPReview.com.

And, yes, I've even included the cool shutter sounds too.

As a Nikon shooter I'm continually comparing cameras to cameras, Nikons to Nikons. That's why I wrote the app and keep both versions Ad-free (Can you tell that I'm not a fan of ads either?). Hopefully you'll find my app useful (maybe even fun) and end up saying to yourself, "You know, I think I'll buy the Full Version so I can help the author buy some more Nikon gear! Lol.)

* Features of NikonCams Full Version (Lite version has less cameras):
The main screen can be sorted to the precise Nikon DSLR category that you desire: FX, DX or Both. Zoom in on individual cameras exposing details such as Sensor Type, Estimated MSRP, Megapixels, ISO sensitivity, Memory Card Type, etc. All of this is completely offline - no web data is called upon. This means you can access the App’s main functionality without an Internet connection.

NikonCams (the paid version) includes camera models: D7200, D5500, D750, D810, D4s, D3300, Df, D5300, D610, D7100, D5200, D600, D4, D3200, D800e, D800, D5100, D7000, D3100, D3S, D300S, D3000, D5000, D3X, D90, D700, D60, D300, D3, D40X , D40

* Camera Compare Feature
Enabled via Options screen. Select the first camera then press the "Compare" button. From the list that appears, choose the camera that you'd like to compare. Both cameras will appear on screen side-by-side. Rotate your smartphone to a landscape orientation for best viewing. Additionally, cameras can be changed by clicking either camera image.

* Web Content / Images / Pricing
Enabled via Options screen. Here you can toggle Amazon.com, Pbase.com and Nikon.com websites to show up at the bottom of each camera’s details page. Choose one, two or all three in any combination. Toggling the Amazon.com look-up button gathers up-to-date information on pricing, availability and reviews. If you want, shop right from the App. For trouble-free use of the Amazon look-up, turn the option on via the Options button before selecting the first camera.

Curious as to the type of photos that a particular camera produces? Use the Pbase.com toggle and you’ll see a sampling of the camera’s capabilities. Toggling Nikon.com brings you right to the camera’s specific Nikon page. Reviews? Toggle Dpreview.com. Green indicator lights (upper right) show at a glance which options are turned on. They also navigate back to the Options screen when pressed.

* Shutter Sounds
Not only can you *see* Nikon’s cameras, you can *hear* them as well. As you'd probably expect, each Nikon has a unique shutter sound. Click the shutter button along the right side of the App’s main screen (Yellow designates DX models, Grey - FX) and listen to the various camera shutter personalities.
